This second edition covers conduct reported between July and September 2024 and restates the determination of UNIS to maintain a lasting citizen watch over corruption cases so that they do not slip out of public attention.
The cases examined include the conviction of Glencore by the Swiss courts, corruption in the judicial sector, funds intended for the victims of the Kisangani war, the construction of a prison, difficulties in the award of public contracts, the management of certain state-owned enterprises, and oversight of the public finances.
Through KANYAKA-RUSHWA, UNIS wants to help break the cycle of forgetting and impunity, while making the public aware of its right to hold public officials to account.
